Y ou may have heard that Gib’z Salon and Day
Spa is under new management. Kathy Juarez
and Shavon Baltezar have been promoted to the
management positions and have full intentions to
focus on the needs of the employees and clients.
Kathy and Shavon have been with Gib’z since it’s
opening in November 2004 and have developed a
strong understanding of how the beauty industry
functions. They is looking forward to serving as the
managers of Gib’z Salon and Day Spa.
Along with the change in managemment there have
also been changes in promotions, incentives, and
pay. The management team has put together posi-
tive aspects that a potentional employee will find
intrigueing. Below, you will find detailed descrip-
tions of the new ideas Kathy and Shavon have
been working on.
Introducing a Sign-on Bonus
We are offering a sign on bonus for both full time
and part time positions.
Full Time (30 hours or more per week)
This includes a total of $1000 to be dispursed
throughtout your first year of employement. Below
is a breakdown of how it will work:
6 months - employee recieves $200
9 months - employee recieves $300
12 months - employee recieves $500
Part Time (minimum 20 hours per week)
This includes a total of $500 to be dispursed
throughout your first year of employement. Below
is a breakdown of how it will work:

6 months - employee recieves $100
9 months - employee recieves $150
12 months - employee recieves $250
How the pay works...........
There are several different pay scales that can be
obtained throughout your employement with Gibz
Salon and Spa. Again, we offer a pay scale for
both full time and part time employees. Each pay
scale is based off the dollar amount of services ren-
dered within a two week period. Below you will find
a complete description of how it all works.
Full Time
1. If $1280-$1319 is brought in, you recieve a
base wage of $8.00 per hour and 35% commis-
sion on the individual service total.
2. If $1320-$1359 is brought in, you recieve a
base wage of $8.25 per hour and 40% commis-
sion on the individual service total.
3. If $1360-$1439 is brought in, you recieve a
base wage of $8.50 per hour and 45% commis-
sion on the individual service total.
4. If $1440 - or more is brought in, you recieve a
base wage of $9.00 per hour and 50% commis-
sion on the individual service total.
*if the minimum commission is not met, the employee will
recieve the first base wage only.
Part Time
1. If $640-$659 is brought in, you recieve a base
wage of $8.00 per hour and 35% commission on
the individual service total.
2. If $660-$679 is brought in, you recieve a base
wage of $8.25 per hour and 40% commission on
the individual service total.
 3. If $680-$719 is brought in, you recieve a base
wage of $8.50 per hour and 45% commission on
the individual service total.
4. If $720-or more is brought in, you recieve a
base wage of $9.00 per hour and 50% commis-
sion on the individual service total.
*if the minimum commission is not met, the employee will
recieve the first base wage only.

This pay scale was created to help individuals

1. If $960-$989 is brought in, you recieve a base
wage of $8.00 per hour and 35% commission on the

2. If $990-$1019 is brought in, you recieve a base
wage of $8.25 per hour and 40% commission on the
individual service total.
3. If $1020-$1079 is brought in, you recieve a base
wage of $8.25 per hour and 45% commission on the
individual service total.
4. If $1080 or more is brought in, you recieve a
base wage of $9.00 per hour and 50% commission
on the individual service total.
*if the minimum commission is not met, the employee will
recieve the first base wage only.
