    This experiment aimed to verify the Ferranti Effect of a transmission line at no load. Measurements were taken of the receiving end voltage (VR) at different points along the line. VR increased from 335V to 347.8951V as the distance from the sending end increased, demonstrating the Ferranti Effect where the receiving voltage rises due to line capacitance when there is no load or a light load. The conclusion is that the Ferranti effect causes the receiving voltage to increase as the transmission line length increases when it is not loaded.
