101 Senior/Lead Data Engineer - Consultant, Stockholm

Assignment description
For the first time in 9 months, we are now opening up recruitment to the Personalized Content team. We
are now looking for a Data engineer to join our other engineers in being a part of building up
personalization of content and product recommendation for Klarna touch points such as the App- emails
and push notifications. The team is very Data Science heavy and currently owns the entire flow from
ingestion of data to presenting APIs with recommendations.

Tasks and responsibilities

● - Lead and maintain the Data Engineering work of our team, which involves consuming a lot of
data sources, data cleanup, and maintenance
● - Lead conversations with other teams we ingest data from to decide on what the best way to
move forward for each new ingestion we add
● - Contribute to the team's on-call rotation
● - Maintain and improve our existing data ingestion pipelines and Datalake

Required Skill-set
● A strong coding ability in Python (with background in Javascript nice to have).
● - Experience of ETL and building data pipelines
● - Understanding of database management and familiarity with Postgres
● - Familiarity with Kafka and related technologies such as Avro and Schema Registry
 ● - A passion for writing clean and testable code.
● - Experience with Agile practices (Pairing- TDD- CI/CD).
● - Experience with Domain Driven Architectural Design
● - We are looking for someone who is not only technically adept but can look at the wider business
case and use that to drive engineering decisions.

● Experience with REST APIs Design and Implementation. (Nice to have)

● Node.js and Express.js. (Nice to have)
