Learning Outcomes

By the end of this unit, teachers will be able to;

 Critically reflect upon their prior teaching and learning practices (instructional strategies
teachers predominantly use in Social Studies teaching) and inquire about their
effectiveness;
 Learn about the importance of usage of various interactive instructional strategies
specified in the curriculum;
 gain hands-on experience while using interactive instructional strategies;
 select appropriate instructional strategies for teaching varied topics
 Appreciate and acknowledge the usage of effective interactive pedagogies to develop
strong socio-psycho learning environment in the classroom. life.

Key Strategies

 You will be enquired for prior knowledge of taught units through

Reflective Questions / Check for Understandings (CU).
 You will be provided with model lessons, activities charts, training
material and videos along with the provoking questions.
 You must fill mandatory Assessment Questions/ Check for
Understandings (CUs) regarding the unit.
 You may be asked to share your demonstration of lesson plans
based on SNC and textbooks with your fellow teacher’s / head
teachers and get feedback as per the given directions at the end of
unit.
 You will evaluate your unit knowledge by attempting self-
assessment (SA).
