Initial Report re – Murder of MRS MARITA G GOMEZ

July 23, 2020

1. This pertains to the lifeless body of Mrs Marita G Gomez, found inside her
car (a green Nissan Super Saloon with plate No. UBJ-547) parked at the 6 th floor
parking area (exclusively for MTRCB employees) of Atlanta Building, Annapolis
St., Greenhills, San Juan at about 8:05 AM of July 23, 2020.

2. Elements of this group together with SOCO and San Juan Police
conducted ocular inspection at the crime scene. SOCO elements processed thew
crime scene and conducted inventory of items found therein. San Juan Police
Station secured the area while investigators of this Group conducted initial
interview on the possible witnesses at the crime scene. The cadaver was brought
to PNP Crime Laboratory Service for autopsy.

3. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was last seen alive when the
latter went out of her Office at around 5:08 PM and proceeded to sixth floor of the
said building where her car was parked. Her officemates confirmed that she went
out from the elevator at the sixth floor alone.

4. That duty security guards and the security officer were interviewed
however none among them could give information on what really happened.
Likewise, the officemates of the victim were interviewed but could not give
information that would at least give any clue on the crime. Some of the personnel
inside the building were likewise interviewed. Again, nobody could give any hint
to the investigators regarding this case. Other bystanders outside the building
were likewise requested to give any information that might have anything to do
with the case but in vain.

5. Medico Legal Report No. M-2873-01 dated July 23, 2020 shows that the
victim suffered 13 stab wounds mostly from the right side of the body. The cause
of death is “hemorrhagic Shock secondary to multiple stab wounds of the head,
neck, and thorax. The victim also suffered hematoma on both eyes and broken
ribs. Accordingly, the possible time of death is from 3:00 up to 6:00 AM of July
23, 2020.

6. Analysis of the crime scene based on the interpretation of the medico-legal


officer and the investigators concluded that the victim was stabbed to death
inside car. The presence of hematoma on the eyes and broken ribs shows that
she was maltreated and become unconscious. This explains why it appears that
there was no resistance when the victim was stabbed.

7. The crime scene is being closely monitored and combed in order to locate
possible pieces of evidence and all possible leads are being explored for
purposes of establishing the corpus delicti of the crime.

Based on the report, prepare a Case Investigation Plan (CIPLAN)
