Activity#1: Fibonacci and Golden Ratio

PHAR1-1

I chose starfish because when I saw the

discussion in lecture 1, I remembered Patrick from
SpongeBob and I really found starfish cute which caught
my attention. Also, with the connection to the discussion,
a starfish has 5 angles which I can connect it to the
Fibonacci sequence because 1+2=3, then add 3 to the 2
which is 5. Also, I drew a pentagon in the starfish shape
because it can also connect to the Golden Ratio. Since, a
golden ratio is much more likely applicable to arts,
architecture, body shape, and etc.

Second that I chose according to my theme, which

is animals, is the Chameleon. I chose Chameleon because
this is also one of my interest or I am amazed off because
a Chameleon has the ability to change or adjust its own
skin color, which their cells is called chromatophores.
To connect this with the discussion, we can see
the Chameleon’s tail is spiral which can be connected to
the Fibonacci sequence. Just like what I have watched and
learned from the discussion, the pattern in spiral is getting
wider and its value is getting bigger as well. That’s why, I
can say that it applies the Fibonacci in the Chameleon’s
tail like the other spirals.
