9-12 How will you access the provinces in:

 Region 1 – Ilocos Region
Based on the materials I've read, you can get to the Ilocos Region by
road or by air. If you travel by air, you can fly with Philippine Airlines
from Manila to Laoag International Airport, which is only 45 minutes
away. When it comes to land travel, various bus companies run frequent
routes between Manila and Laoag. They can also travel thru the
MacArthur Highway, which takes 10-12 hours. When visiting the Ilocos
Region, you can travel around via private van or auto rental. You may
also go around town by bus, jeepney, or tricycle.
 CAR – Cordillera Administrative Region
Based on the learner guide, only overland transportation is available to
travel to CAR. Because to the region's geography, only the MacArthur
Highway, North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlec Expressway
(SCTEX), and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) are
accessible. When in CAR, you can move around by renting a private van
or a car from one of the several companies that operate there. You may
also go around town by bus, jeepney, or tricycle.

37-40 Now that you know a lot of things about Ilocos and CAR region, how will
you differentiate them in your OWN words?

I can say that when it comes to road access, Ilocos Region is more accessible
than CAR. When it comes to tourist attractions, the Ilocos Region has more
bodies of water, historical buildings, and built attractions, whereas the CAR has
just land, natural, and historical attractions. When it comes to activities, the
Ilocos Region has more options than the CAR because the roads are more
accessible. When it comes to food, a Pasigueño like me is a little less familiar
with what they have than CAR, because I don't seem to understand the language
of food or the ingredients used in it.
