If man wants his earthly life to be serene and blissful, he has to cultivate service - mindedness. If he
wants to live for himself solely without realizing the value of service he cannot obtain peace in his
life. He will experience the absence of peace all along. If he wants to achieve ful illment in life, he
ought not to limit his care only to himself and his near and dear ones. He must devote his life for the
society. This is God's decree. Every human being must keep that merited goal in mind. In view of
this, one must listen to the words of wisdom uttered by the elders and wise people in gatherings
and associations. The effect of those words will be there in the mind; but soon it will evaporate. And
once again he will be covered by illusion.
We can observe a layer of mass covering the surface of water in lakes and tanks. We cannot see the
water because of this mantel of moss. If we just push this scum a bit aside, we will be able to see
clear water. If we bend a little down we can actually see our faces re lected clearly there. When the
scum moves away and we see our face there we get some kind of feeling. That feeling is divine. This
divine feeling is obtained not only when we are inside a temple, but we can feel it within ourselves.
Likewise, whenever we listen to the spiritual master and wise people we determine to do good
deeds only. This is because, as said earlier, the mantel of moss slides sideward's temporarily. But
after a lapse of time the illusion engulfs again.If the cover of ignorance moves away and we obtain
the divine feeling, God will have a permanent abode within us.

Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon

Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon – 2020 has conducted for inter department students to
select 5 teams to participate in SMART INDIA HACKATHON – 2020 on 17th January 2020. It was 8hrs
contest, around 60 students actively participated from all the branches. Mr. Govardhan Meti, Senior
Consultant, Infosys Limited was the judge to select 5 teams to participate in SMART INDIA HACKATHON –
2020. Dr. Chandrasekhar Shetty, Vice Chancellor, ACU, Dr. Subbaraya, Registrar, ACU, Dr. B K Narendra,
Principal, BGSIT, Mr. Umesh, Finance Of icer, ACU and all HOD‟s has visited and interacted with
participants.

FDP on Machine Learning and its Applications

Six days Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Machine Learning and its Applications has conducted
from 22.1.2020 to 27.1.2020. Around sixty Faculty actively participated from all the branches and various

National Level C Quiz on 31st May 2020

Department of Computer Science & Information Science Engineering has conducted National level online
C quiz competition on 31.05.2020 at 4:00 P.M to 4:30 P.M. Around 680 participants have participated from
Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Telangana. We have received a good
feedback from the participants. The e-certi icate has been shared for all the participates who scored above
50% in the quiz. The quiz had 30 questions including both coding and theoretical questions.
