4. Penny has a pencil that is 19 hm long. How long is the pencil in dm?

5. 30 g serving of a certain breakfast cereal has 0.5 g of salt. How much salt would that
be in milligrams Answer: 500 mg

6. Justin weighs 80 kilograms, Benjamin weighs 40 kilograms. Jack weighs 60 kilograms.


How much do the 3 people weigh altogether in lbs? (2.20 lbs=1kg) Answer: 4x102 lbs

7. How many cm3 are in 3.45 ft3? ( 1ft = 30.38cm) Answer: 9.67x104 cm3

A school custodian must mark off a field that is 150 ft by 85 ft. His tape measure is
marked in metres. What are the dimensions of the field in metres?

8. Charlie drove from Calgary to Saskatoon, which is a distance of 620 km. How far is

11. The maximum speed reached by a standing skateboarder is about 14.7 m/s. Would
the skateboarder get a ticket in a 30 km/h speed zone? Answer: Yes. The speed of
the driver is 52.9km/hr
