Description
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations is a new generation of data security
products.
What really sets Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations apart from other
software, even from other Kaspersky Lab products, is the multifaceted approach to data
security on the user's computer. The program provides protection from all the types of
threats that roam the world today, and, most importantly, from threats that have not yet been
discovered.
Before installation
Your computer must meet the following system requirements to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus
6.0 for Windows Workstations MP4:
General requirements:
- Intel Pentium 300 MHz 32-bit (x86) / 64-bit (x64) processor, or higher (or a compatible
equivalent).
- free 256 MB RAM.
- Intel Pentium 800 MHz 32-bit (x86) / 64-bit (x64) processor, or higher (or a compatible
equivalent).
- free 512 MB RAM.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 R2 for Windows Workstations has passed a full cycle of testing on:
Information In order to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations MP4 on
Windows Vista/Windows 7 OS according to general requirements, it is recommended to
disable the option System Restore in system properties. This is required because if you have
the option System Restore enabled, the system will need additional 500 MB of free disk
space for successful installation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
Make sure all Microsoft critical security patches has been applied to your
computer
Make sure your computer/system time and date is set as current time and
date

You will see a command prompt box pop up followed by the Installation. See Figure 4.

Once finished, click Yes. Kaspersky Anti-Virus will start after your computer has been
restarted.
Click Settings
Click Add
Select “Updates for Kav 6.0 MP4” from the CD-ROM, then click ok.
Make sure its at top and its checked, then click Ok, then click apply and exit settings
windows.
Make sure the correct source its selected. And wait till it completes, then close this window.
Next we’re going to deleted this source update so that in future KAV get updates from
default sources.
Select the source (updates for Kav 6.0 MP4) and click delete, then click Ok
This is what you should have at Update source. Then click Ok and exit setting windows.
Your Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 is now running. Mouse over the icon and you can see the
Kaspersky Anti-Virus version and signatures date.

Right click on the icon and you can see several option of Kaspersky Anti-Virus.

You can see avp.exe processes of Kaspersky Anti-Virus running in your system.

Click Start Run (or Windows + R) and type in services.msc and click OK

To make sure that the Network Agent is already running you can check it using the Windows
Task Manager. The process running is klnagent.exe.
