Pretask Oral Exam
As you already know, next class we are having the speaking exam. Thus, today we are
going to make the most of our time organizing, practicing, and making some corrections so
that next Tuesday during the exam we have no inconveniences. In this sense, you and your
classmates in your corresponding channel are going to do next:
1. Look at the following chart:
STUDENT 1 Hello. My name is _______ and I am an environmental activist. I
am here to give you some information about climate change because
(MANDATORY) time goes by, and people seem to not care about our planet. Climate
change is not a hoax, there is lots of evidence to prove that this is
real. For example, the first record of climate change due to human
activity throughout history takes place in the 1800s. Therefore,
human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels have increased
the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere by more than a third since the
industrial revolution.
2. Talk to each other in your channel and choose one of the six options you have
above.
3. Take some time to practice and be prepared to read your text when the teacher visits
your channel.
4. Take note of some teacher’s recommendations in terms of pronunciation and study a
lot for the speaking exam.
REMEMBER!!! This is a speaking exam, thus you are not going to read, you are
going to speak!!!
