DMV will begin complying with the provisions of Senate Bill 219, which requires the reinstatement of a driver’s
license for a person whose license has been suspended for certain delinquent fines, administrative assessments,
fees, or restitution owed. The reinstatement will be done at no charge to you; some exceptions will apply.
For persons who meet the qualifications under this provision, DMV is working to remove the qualifying delinquent
fine actions which have resulted in a suspended driving privilege. We would ask you to be patient as we work
through these records. DMV will notify you once we have completed the assessment and/or reinstatement.
PLEASE NOTE: If there are multiple withdrawals on your record, all qualifying actions will be removed from your
record, however other “unqualifying” withdrawals will need to be cleared in order to bring your driver’s license
back to an active status. If you have surrendered your license, no longer have it in your possession or have a
temporary/restricted license, please visit your local DMV office to apply for a new driver’s license.
