Basic Content Guidelines

What Do Content Guidelines Mean?

• Content simply refers to the information you write about the product or
service you are selling on Daraz

• It's important to be consistent when writing for your brand, which is why
developing content guidelines and then abiding by them is a must

• Content must be accurate and completed according to the format on


Seller Center – depending on your category

• It is important to keep in mind that insufficient or incomplete content


will result in Quality Control Rejection

• Basic guidelines are the same, however quite a few things differ
category wise as shown in this presentation

Fashion Category Guidelines
Color – Material - Type - Gender – Code
NAME For Example: Multicolor Khaddar Digital Printed Kurta For Women – 6768
Material (e.g. khaddar)
KEY FEATURES Size (e.g. regular fit)
Highlighting Quality (e.g. stylish andcomfortable)
Fashion Specification (e.g. digital print)

One or two paragraphs


DESCRIPTION Less than 6 lines per paragraph

First Image: Front pose shot on a model


IMAGE Second Image: Side pose shot on a model
Third Image: Back pose shot on a model
Fourth Image: Size chart required if the item has variations
Make sure category is tagged until the child category
CATEGORIZATION Example: Women’s Fashion → Women’s Clothing → Pakistani & Traditional Clothing → Kurtas & Shalwar

Size chart will be required for apparel with variations. For eg, S, XS, XL, 36, 37, 38, 6, 7, 8 etc.

Tips To Avoid Common Content Mistakes In Fashion

There are some very common mistakes made by sellers in the fashion category. It is wise to try and avoid
these errors in order to not have quality control issues. Listed below are some tips;

• Shrugs will be tagged in sweaters & • Hair Accessories – only buns, hair ties,
cardigans. clips, etc.
• Abayas will be tagged in Muslim • Baby bags will not be tagged in
wear > outerwear Fashion
• Ethnic Wear is a category for Indian • Smart watches with sim slot, GSM

Image Format

► Mandatory Images: At least 2 (Front and Back Pose along with a size
chart)

► Lifestyle images are also acceptable

► Image formats allowed: JPG, PNG, GIF

► Image Dimensions: Best dimensions are 1000x1000 pixels but images in


the range between 1000x1000 and 2000x2000 pixels are also acceptable

► Maximum file size: 3 MB

► First image should be the main image and the front view of your product

► Background can either be white, off white, grey or ash
