Subject: Proposal for backfilling (Olympia Underpass)

Dear Sirs,

As you are well aware, the backfill work for the Olympia Underpass is
undergoing using selected material. However, due to the weather condition,
it is becoming difficult to attain the required moisture content and making
not easy to get good compaction. This has resulted slowing down the
backfilling work which was intended to be completed in short time to give
access for traffic diversion.

Thus, we propose to use rock fill for the depth under 4.0m from the top of
the road elevation and we will use the selected materials for the top part as
shown in the attached drawing.

We are quite sure the proposed method will bring advantage in completing
the work in shorter time while keeping the required quality at the same time.
Hence, we request your prompt approval to proceed the work as proposed.
