Cover Letter

I am Shivani Riya student of 5th year BBA, LLB Hons Lovely Professional University
applying for a 1 month internship in Delhi International Arbitration Centre for the year 2021.
My goal is to become a judicial officer and also to serve the nation by providing speedy
justice to the innocent people and also one of the principle why arbitration and conciliation
act came into picture is to provide speedy justice as enshrined under section 89 of cpc and
article 39 A of Constitution of India because I believe in the latin maxim salus populi
suprema lex esto that means (the welfare of the people shall be the supreme law").

Internship opportunities like these are very rare and I wish to be an intern under you, as this
would be an exemplary platform for amalgamating my theoretical knowledge about the ICA
which is used to promote amicable, quick and inexpensive settlement of commercial disputes
by means of arbitration, conciliation, regardless of location, also in improving my
communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

I have good typing, drafting and research skills. I have published a research paper on the
topic “Antiterrorism and national security laws” and an article on “How young India wants to
see the democracy” and on Right to development and right to livelihood and on “Can Decree
of Conjugal Right waive the right of Maintenance ?As I have done management studies as
well so I know how to manage the manegerial work in the organization.I also have learnt
drafting and I have drafted Writs and Divorce petitions, contracts, legal notices, rent
agreement, Suit for Eviction, wherein I’ve applied various laws provisions applicable in my
previous challenging internships.

I understand the amount of effort and work needed in the Arbitration and Conciliation
centre as I have attended the seminar and workshop on mediation and conciliation
during my internship at Patna High Court. Therefore, I am determined to take upon
whatever challenges that are put forth before me. I firmly believe that I have the ambition and
the right attitude in order to sustain the challenges, and eventually become successful in this
chosen field of mine. This internship offers me with the prospect of gradually achieving my
goal.

With the help of this platform I would be learning and working under the supervision of
person who solves dispute and would be gaining knowledge which would render me a
personality different from the outside world and mould me into a good Arbitrator and
conciliator.
