Part I:
Our family is and extended family, which includes other members of my family such as
my uncles and my aunts living under the same roof. There’s Irene my mother who takes good
care of me, Tonet my uncle who loves to bake cakes, my aunt mama Lidu and her husband tito
Tanny who used to live in America but now are retiring here so they can farm, Coddy my new
smart and mischievous puppy and final me.

The advantages of my type if family is that we get together a lot and bond often with each
other, for example, baking together, eating together, karaoke nights, movie nights and traveling.
The disadvantages of this type of family in my opinion is that if there is a time of conflict some
may take sides and sometimes debate and often have misunderstandings, other times everyone
is to busy that we don’t get to have meals together, instead we eat at whatever time we want
event without waiting for the others to come and join. Most of the time also we spend our time
in our own separate rooms which doesn’t give us the opportunity to talk about each other’s day
or bond with other members.

Part II:

Uncle Tonet: he is a Brgy. Counselor in out brgy. His job at home is paying the water and cable
bills he also cleans the house on a daily basis but only the easy type like sweeping and doing
dishes.

My Father and Mother: works everyday as a government employee, they both don’t do much of
the house chores, but our helper does most of them, they pay the bills.

Mama Lidu and Tito Tanny: most of the time they aren’t home because they’re busy with all the
projects and business meetings, tito tanny is an engineer. They both recently bought a farm in
dulag that’s why they only come home at night. There’re always busy and going places but they
also give my mom money for daily house expenses.

Me: I do dishes and clean the room floors and clean my room daily. And go to school.

Part III:

As a healthy family they need to spend time with each other. In our family we only
sometimes do it, well, not on a daily basis. We don’t bond much only about once a week when
my father comes home for Sunday lunch. Second a healthy family has good communication
with each other, for me we’re okay sharing our sentiments and experiences sometimes but I
think its not enough to say that its on a healthy level, we are not that open to each other. We just
casually talk about things while eating then when were done we leave the dishes and go back to
our rooms.
For these problems to be address I think our family should try to schedule the days where
we should all eat together, or maybe make everyone help in making breakfast so that we can all
bond at the same time. Even just twice a week during Sundays because that’s the only time we
have that everyone is at home. Second, our family isn’t that open with each other, we don’t
usually share problems and sentiments or share about experiences often while were eating. In
my opinion, to solve this we should ask each other questions about how was their day and listen
to what they have to say. In this way our family can become closer and more open with each
other.

Part IV:

For the importance of the primary prevention, for me this is the most important because
health starts here. Prevention and promotion of health starts by ensuring that all family members
are immunized, education of proper eating habits, that unhealthy or unsafe behaviors are
corrected, that the safety of the house is always double checked so that all family members are
far from and disease-causing agent. In the Second level of prevention is reducing the impact of
diseases that have la ready occurred, if there are any history of hypertension, diabetes,
tuberculosis, or cancer, all family members or specific family members should have schedule
screening tests, take their maintenance, and exercise/ eat rights to maintain optimum role
performance. Lastly the third level of prevention this is done by helping people manage long-
term, often-complex health problems and injuries, chronic diseases or permanent impairments in
order to improve their ability to function as well as thir their quality of life and their life
expectancy. Having support groups is an effective way to help cope up and ventilate concerns
and be an inspiration to each other.
