INTRODUCTION
Kia Corporation, formerly known as Kyungsung Precision Industry and Kia Motors
Corporation is a South Korean international automaker with headquarters in Seoul, South
Korea. It is South Korea's second-largest car manufacturer after its parent company Hyundai
Motor Company, which sold more than 2.8 million cars in 2019. As of December 2015, Kia
Corporation is a small subsidiary owned by Hyundai, holding 33.88% shares valued above
just the US. $ 6 billion. Kia owns a handful of Hyundai's less than 20 companies ranging
from 4.9% to 45.37%, more than US $ 8.3 billion.
The Kia Seltos is a Kia-produced subcompact crossover SUV. Launched in mid-2019, the
Seltos is ranked between the Stoneic, Soul, or Small Sonet and the larger Sportage in the Kia
global SUV line.
Seltos has been selected as a global product with three variants presented in various markets.
The first variation is the largest Seltos version, produced in South Korea (codename: SP2)
aimed primarily at developed markets, including North America and Australasia. The other
two variants are the Indian-made Seltos (local name: SP2i) and the closest Chinese version
with badges like the Kia KX3 (booth name: SP2c). The SP2i and SP2c models are less
expensive Seltos models to enter the emerging markets, built on the Hyundai-Kia K2
platform and closely related to the second-generation Hyundai Creta / ix25. Although it is a
global market model, Seltos is not sold in the European market.
The name "Seltos" is derived from "Celtos", the son of Hercules in Greek mythology.
According to Kia, the Seltos are specifically targeted for thousands of years and "new, high-
tech buyers" are looking for a car that stands out from the crowd
KIA Seltos has 20 variants from Rs. 9.95 Lakh to Rs. 17.65 Lakh. Under this hood, Seltos is
powered by 4 cylinder, 1497 cc, 1497 cc, 4 Inline Cylinders, 4 Valves / Cylinder, DOHC.
Capable of production - torque and power of 115 PS @ 6300 rpm with fuel capacity of 16.8
kmpl. The KIA Seltos can store up to 50 Liters of fuel in one trip.
