By increasing our knowledge of existing challenges, our knowledge of the

consequences of biodiversity loss, and our support for government policies and actions
that protect our precious habitats. As environmental guardians, we will serve as
educators and role models by assisting in the conservation of endangered species and
avoiding the extinction of other species.
Biodiversity is around local habitats and promoting sustainable environments for life to
survive, not just the selection of plants and animals on the earth. Although saving the
rainforests can seem to be a difficult challenge, there is plenty you can do locally to
support and conserve biodiversity.
Plant flowers, fruits, and vegetables that are native to your area. Learn about the native
flora, fruits, and vegetables in your town, and then plant a variety in your backyard or a
hanging garden. Support nearby nurseries that specialize in native species to help with
this endeavor. Nurseries are excellent sources of knowledge on plant care and upkeep.
They should also be able to tell you where their plants are grown-the closer the source,
the better. By assisting local wildlife, you are assisting with the preservation of habitat
and the support of the local community. Local habitats should be respected. Plants in
your neighborhood parks and wildlife reserves also play a critical role in protecting the
local environment. Stick to the walking path or hiking trail while you're outside to protect
local habitats. Encourage the kids and pets to do the same!
