A tour guide is responsible for taking tourists to places and locations
they may not know or are familiar with. The tour guide organizes
programs and schedules for tourists to take to archaeological sites
and important landmarks in a country and tell historical stories.
Tour guides work in the travel industry, giving guided tours to
groups of visitors. They are experts on the history of the location
and offer their tour groups interesting or enlightening information
about points of interest at nature attractions, historic sites,
museums, scenic locations, and other travel destinations. Guides
may give walking tours, bus tours, or even lead river tours on a
boat. Often hired by visitors' bureaus or travel companies, tour
guides are typically residents of the region in which they give tours.

One of the advantages of working in this job is to learn about
different cultures, learn new languages, travel and visit new places,
serious salaries, especially in periods of boom in tourism .
Certainly, there is no job without defects, as with the presence of
many advantages to the job of a tour guide, there are also
disadvantages, including: 1- The obstacles facing tourist guides are
the lack of job opportunities and participation in tourist trips, as
some guides only work once for a year. 2- Weaknesses in the
professional development of tour guides 3- Delaying the holding of
the exams prepared for the counselors 4- The tourism situation
was affected by political matters, which led to a decrease in the
number of tourists and the lack of financial support during these
periods, as most of those I know work on a daily basis or programs.
-5 Lack of appreciation by some members of society. 6- Being
away from the family during working hours.
