RF table, Bucky table, X-ray tube assembly, collimator and HV generator can be used in patient circumstance while other components can not. 6. Some wastes, such as interior and exterior packing materials, the components, equipment and accessories that are replaced in maintenance shall be discarded as useless in strict accordance with the national requirements for environmental protection Vill Maintenance XG300D Medical Diagnostic X-ray Unit is an accurate and valuable medical diagnostic machine: users are required to know its technical specifications structural scheme and operation procedures, and do well its daily maintenance work, so as to fully take advantage of this machine, extend its usage life, guarantee the normal operation of the machine and guarantee the safety of the operators and the examiners. Users Should Pay Attention to the Following Issues during Usage: 1) The X-rays produced by the X-ray unit cause some harm to human. body, so during usage, apart from operating the X-ray unit in a correct 1s xG300D Ver.07-2010.6 XG300D Medical diagnostic X-ray unit Operation manual way to let it go round right, more importantly, we should pay special attention to the protection of human body against X-rays, to make its harm to operators and patients at its lowest, and human body should keep the distance to the X-ray focus as far as possible. For example, the machine ward should be furnished with due guarding equipment and measures (such as lead board, lead leather guarding screen), and the operators must use protection tools (lead glasses) and wear guarding apparel (lead cap, lead apron, lead gloves); when approaching the patients to do X-ray inspection, the operators must operate it within the effective occupying area 2) The machine should be put in a well-ventilated dry-clean working environment. Keep it away from moisture, high temperature and direct sunshine. 3) The control closet should be regularly checked (say half year or one year, according to the specific environment) by opening the front and back covers and looking into the inside. The damaged units should be exchanged with new ones of the same type from manufacturers. During inspection, you also need to pay attention to the connection of each unit to see if it is disconnected or has become loose and fix it properly. 4) In areas where power voltage waves quite violently, attention should be paid to see whether the power voltage variation is acceptable, and if there are such abnormal phenomena as over high voltage, over low, or volatile change, you should immediately turn off the machine and stop use: only use the machine set again after finding out and fixing up the problems. 5) To the buttons and operating stick on the control panel, you cannot jerk them too hard, in case they would fall off, become distorted or ill-connected, or even damaged. 6) Autotransformer is the master power supply of all the circuits, placed under the console, which is a transformer of a small number of turns, and the current is strong between the turns. Therefore, it should be regularly checked to see if there is dirt or dust between the turns of the transformer, and if there is any, it should be cleared away promptly in case the there would be sparks between the turns to cause problems 7) It is necessary to check regularly if all the assembly is good with earth-connection protection (check to see if the earth-connection resistance is within the required value). 8) Regularly check the power supply condition, the resistance within the power supply (or if the power supply voltage value is changing), and actually perform according to the requirement of the power supply of the machine set. 9) After using the controller, cut off the power supply immediately. 10) Avoiding knacking during the use of X-ray tube assembly. 11) When X-ray tube assembly have been put aside for a long time or have 6 XG300D Medical diagnostic X-ray unit Operation manual been updated, the X-ray tubes should be loaded gradually to do sophistication test, in case instant loading may damage the X-ray tubes. 12)When the machine set is working continuously, please notice the acceptable thermo volume of the X-ray tubes or check the surface temperature of the X-ray tubes, and make sure it does not exceed 70°C 13) The treatment of faults of the unit Faults Causes Solutions 1, No power supply trom | Correctly connect, Machine cannot be | input it to power tumed on 2. Chapter One: General description |. Applications X912 console is designed to integrate all necessary and accessory parts into related electric device in order to control working voltage and current of the X-ray tube and the radiagraphy/ fluoroscopy process. It combines with high-voltage generator and X-ray tube to make up an X-ray generator. ll. Composition X912 console is a central control system for 320mA medical diagnostic X-ray machine, with reliable structure and high-definition display. The machine is equipped with overload linkage protective device and rotating anode startup protective device, etc., as well as surge-proof resistance, to avoid switching overvoltage occurring in radiography. The surge-proof resistance is also used to limit the X-ray tube temperature control device in fluoroscopy. X912 console may combine FB-GT22 X-ray tube assemblies, X66 high-voltage generator, X01G electric diagnostic bed, X17D Bucky table to make up 320mA medical diagnostic X-ray machine. Chapter Two: Operation Instructions |. Structural 1. This console uses mA regulatory system to control the upper and lower X-ray tubes. The mA of the tube current may be regulated in 6 steps, and each step has a maximum exposure time of S and it also has linkage protective device between it and the maximum tube voltage kV. In operation, if operator presets a radiography parameter more than the rated capacity, the console will give a signal of * overload” to indicate that the preset radiographic parameter is beyond the given scope, and pressing the exposure button at this moment will not cause the machine to work. Users shall specially note that this is an unrepeatable overload protection device and has no protective function conceming the cumulative thermal capacity overload of the X-ray tube that are produced for multiple exposures. 2. This machine is equipped with magnetic saturation voltage stabilizer to stabilize the filament voltage of the X-ray tube and keep stable cathode emission current (mA value) of the X-ray tube when the power supply voltage fluctuates within a certain range. It is equipped with space charge compensator to keep a stable tube current when the X-ray tube voltage T x9 Ver.05-201 X912 Contol console Manual changes. The machine is also equipped with a capacitance current compensator that may give exact current value in radiography. The gastrointestinal radiography of this machine is fixed at 160mA, and it can be switched to 160mA step automatically when gastrointestinal radiography film is fed, however, the KV value and exposure time shall be preset by operator. 3. This machine is equipped with rotating anode startup and operation protective device. If short circuit or open circuit happens to stator coil of the rotating anode or the startup capacitor has short circuit or breaks down that makes protective device unable to function when the rotating anode starts or operates, the machine will not be able to work when pressing the exposure button. 4. When the machine is switched from fluoroscopy to radiography mode, a delay is set to provide adequate time for the large focus filament to be heated to stable state while the small focus is switched to large focus, which may ensure stability of X-ray emission and avoid unsatisfactory radiography for mechanical vibration of the film holder while feeding the film 5. The machine is equipped with “ fit for radiography” button that may especially be applicable to serious patient, as well as a button for fluoroscopic current modulation. The selection of upper and lower X-ray tube assemblies may be done automatically and rapidly with change of the technical condition, which is realized through electromagnetic high-voltage swap device set in the same box as the high-voltage generator. II. Installation instructions 1. Power supply installation a. All requirements for power supply that are stated in Technical Requirements (2): Power Supply shall be satisfied in installation. b. The electric power shall be supplied to the machine set through the iron clad switch, and the iron clad switch shall be mounted on a wall near the console in accordance with related regulations of the power supply authority. c. The cross section of the power cable shall meet the requirements in Article 4 of Section: Power Supply. 2. Installation of earthing device (protective earthing) The machine set shall be grounded properly for safety of the operator and the patient. The earthing wire led to the machine set shall not be less than 4mm2 for its bare conductor, and its earthing resistance shall not be less than 4@ . The protective earthing device shall be constructed according to related regulations of local power supply authority. It shall be cautious that zs xO Ver.05-2010.01 X912 Control console Manu the pipeline for liquid fuel, flammable or explosive gas (such as coal gas pipe) shall not be used as the grounding connector. 3. Step down the pedal switch and regulate the fluoroscopy mA knob for the millimeter to indicate 2mA. 6 xo Vor. 05-2010.01 X912 Control console Manual Regulate the left and right fluoroscopy kV buttons gradually for the fluoroscopy voltage to rise by SkV a minute, and check whether any electric discharge noise may be heard from inside the high-voltage generator and the X-ray tube assembly, and observe whether the millimeter “ mA” has large-range instantaneous swing. If such circumstances happen, release the fluoroscopy switch for examination and trouble shooting. If no abnormities happen, raise the voltage gradually to the maximum allowable value. At the same time, conduct high-pressure test and aging test to the X-ray tube assembly. b. Regulation of X-ray tube current 1) Fluoroscopy: for regulation of the gastrointestinal radiography current, press the technology selection button-1 to set the mA knob at SmA. Press the fluoroscopy button to regulate the fluoroscopy kV to 60kKV, and tum the fluoroscopy MA knob to the maximum value. The millimeter shall indicate about 5mA, and if it has a large error, the above-stated requirements may be met by regulating the sliding clip (151) of the resistance (RAI) according to “ Wiring diagram for relay cradle” Set the timer below 28, and regulated the radiography kV for the digital kV to indicate 60kV. Feed the film on the fluorescent screen stand for gastrointestinal photo exposure, and observe whether the millimeter indicates 160mA. If a large error is found, regulate the sliding clip (152) of the resistance (RAI) to meet the requirements. Be cautious that the exposure time shall not be too short, or the X-ray tube assembly may heat excessively. 2) Regulation of radiography current: press the technology selection button-4, and regulate the radiography kV to indicate 6OKV. It is better to connect a mA/s meter in the test circuit. Set mA selection at large focus 50mA and timer at 1S. Start radiography exposure, and observe whether the X-ray tube current has error. If the error is too large, adjust the sliding clip (140) of the resistance (RAI). Set mA selection at small focus 100mA and timer at 1S. Start radiography exposure, and observe whether the X-ray tube current has error. If the error is too large, adjust the sliding clip (141) of the resistance (RAI). Set mA selection at 160mA and timer at 1S. Start radiography exposure, and observe whether the X-ray tube current has error. If the error is too large, adjust the sliding clip (143) of the resistance (RAI) Set mA selection at 200mA and timer at 0.32S. Start radiography exposure, and observe whether the X-ray tube current has error. If the error is too large, adjust the sliding clip (145) of the resistance (RAI). Set mA selection at 250mA and timer at 0.328. Start radiography exposure, a oI Ver 05-2010.01 X912 Control console Manual and observe whether the X-ray tube current has error. If the error is too large, adjust the sliding clip (147) of the resistance (RAI) Set mA selection at 320mA and timer at 0.32S. Start radiography exposure, and observe whether the X-ray tube current has error. If the error is too large, adjust the sliding clip (149) of the resistance (RAI). 3) High voltage regulation of X-ray tube assembly: the high voltage of X-ray tube of this machine is measured with the voltmeter at the primary side (low voltage side). Different impedance drop may be caused inside the machine when the radiography mA value is different. If no any measures are taken in the measuring circuit, the value indicated by the voltmeter in radiography will be the real X-ray tube high voltage. When the radiography mA value is 50mA, as the impedance in the machine produces impedance drop that may cause a drop of the high voltage of the X-ray tube, the superficial indicated value of the voltmeter cannot correctly reflect the real high voltage of the X-ray tube assembly. The real high voltage is lower than the indicated value at this moment, and the same circumstance will also happen to other millimeter steps, and radiography will cause adverse effect under such condition. Measures must be taken for the voltage indication at the primary side to fully reflect the real high voltage of the X-ray high voltage and make compensation for the internal impedance voltage drop of the machine Preset compensation method is used for this machine, in which mA selection is linked with the tap of the kV compensator connected for kV digital display switch, or in other words, reduce the kV meter indication when the mA rises according to different taps in the measuring circuit. 4) Regulation of space charge compensator: the secondary winding TKB of the space charge compensator may be adjusted to keep the tube current from changing with the tube current, see “ Combination wiring diagram of contactor” . For example, exposure may be done on two conditions respectively: large focus 50mA, 60kV and large focus 50mA, 100kV, and measure the tube currents with mA/S meter to check whether the tube currents are the same on two conditions. If they have a large difference, appropriate compensation may be made according to the connection position of the connector~160 of the space charge compensator, and other MA steps may be adjusted in order with the above-stated method. The debugging shall be done under the allowable capacity. \V. Maintenance The X-rays generated by the X-ray machine may hurt human body in a degree, so it shall be operated correctly. What is more, special care shall be taken to X-ray protection for human body during operation to minimize 7 wo Ver.05-2010.01 X912 Control console Mana the harm of X-ray to operator and patient. For example, the machine room shall be equipped with protective facilities and measures (such as lead plate), the operator must use protection equipment (such as lead goggles) and wear protective clothes {leaded cap, leaded apron, and leaded gloves). The radio examination to a patient shall be made within an effective application area. The console is the control and regulation pivot for all branch and accessory circuits of the medical diagnostic X-ray machine, and it has very complicated circuits. Users shall not only learn its technical requirements, structural principles and operational rules, but they shall also make proper daily maintenance to give full play to its efficiency, extend its service life, and guarantee personal safety of the operator and patient. Users shall pay attention to the following items: 1. The console shall be installed in a well-ventilated, tidy and dry room and keep away from moisture, high temperature, and sunlight 2. The console shall have its front and rear cover plates opened regularly (half a year to one year, based on specific environmental conditions) to check and clean the inside. The inspection shall be made emphatically on contact terminals of all switches and contactors to check whether they have electrical erosion or uncleanness. In normal circumstances, they may be wiped clean, but if it is serious, the wearing parts shall be replaced with similar products purchased from the manufacturer. In addition, it shall be paid attention whether the elements or connectors are loose or displaced, and if so, they shall be tightened. 3. While the machine is in use, it shall be checked whether the power voltage is normal. If it is a little higher or lower, or any abnormities happen such as ballistic kick, etc., the machine shall be stopped to search for the cause and solve the problem before it is used again. 4, The knobs on the console shall not be used with force to prevent dislocation, damage, poor contact or even break. 5. The autotransformer is the main power supply for all circuits, which is generally installed under the console. As it very few windings, the inter-turn current becomes very large, and the transformer shall be check regularly whether the windings are damaged or have too mach impurities or dust, and if so, the machine shall be powered off for cleaning in time. 6. It shall be checked whether the console is properly grounded (it shall be less than 0.12). 7. The power supply shall be checked regularly whether its resistance (or voltage) has any change, and the requirements of the product on power supply shalll be fulfilled. 9 xo Ver05-2010.01 X912 Control console Manual 8. The console shall be powered off after it is used, and all knobs on the panel shall be set at the minimum position. 9. Operation manual Take off the cable 031(PI), 032(P2) between control console and high voltage generator. Attention: this procedure must be done to avoid the high voltage shock. Switch on the power supply; observe whether the filament is lightening in the condition of fluoroscopy with 3mA. The procedure: remove the under tube from the diagnostic table, take off the aluminum filter, then observe whether the filament is lighting, attention: in this case, the small focus must be lightening. In general fluoroscopy, the large focus should be lightening at 100mA large focus. The under tube’ s experience testing: switch on the fluoroscopy, and then adjust the fluoroscopic current to roughly 2mA. Promote the fluoroscopic voltage 5kV slowly, listen carefully if there is any discharging sound, if it happens, atop the fluoroscopy immediately and check the unit carefully, after solving the problem, again, switch on the fluoroscopy, and then promote the fluoroscopic voltage 5kV step by step until 125kV. The over tube experience testing: according to the principal drawing of the control console, disconnect the large focus transformer F,(177), then put a potential resistance (100W200@ ) TR into the circuit, the resistance must be 1607 2008 ; take off the line “ 403” on the " mA” meter (200mA), connect the line (401) and (405); press the technical selector to “ general radiography” and“ mA" selector on “ 50mA, large focus” , rotate the exposure timer to the maximum, switch on the exposure, adjust the current with TR to 2~ 3mA, promote the radiographic voltage 5kV slowly, listen carefully if there is any discharging sound, if it happens, atop the radiography immediately and check the unit carefully, after solving the problem, again, switch on the radiography, and then promote the radiographic voltage 5kV step by step until 125kV, Because the exposure is controlled by the exposure timer, when the exposure finished, release the switch first, and then, press the switch again. The exposure must be rest for 10min after adjusting 10kV to avoid the x-ray tube overheating. If the above procedure is done in right condition, the x-ray tube could be Made FEISTZZTZSRVI Ver. Model F8.GT22 (125kV) x-ray tube Operation manual used normally. Notice After continuous exposure, the x-ray tube must have 6min rest time at least in order to prolong the life. When exposure, take care of the temperature of the x-ray tube house, it must not be over 70°C. The de-hydraulic Vaseline in the high voltage generator socket and on the top of the high voltage cable must be changed periodically. Keep the high voltage generator socket and the high voltage cable being connected fastened, and keep the filament lighten when exposure, avoid exposure or fluoroscopy when filament is “ no lightening” to prolong the x-ray tube life. If you want to change a new x-ray tube, please re-test it according to the procedure mentioned in item 2. If the x-ray unit is first used or not used for more than two weeks, please re-test it according to the procedure mentioned in item 2. Any subject (for example: the designs and the formats of the unit) may be changed in this product. In this case, the customs would not be informed by the restrictive of communications. é Maal FEGT2E TTR Ver.04-2009.12
