Test
Description of : 1. A set of five (05) Mason C-RE 585-M16x190 Threaded
Samples Rod was tested for their tensile load capacity.
2. All the M16 chemical anchors were installed onto a
concrete block of grade 20 with dimensions 4.05m(L) x
0.8m(B) x 0.26m(H) cast on 08 June 16 by HDB Centre of
Building Research.
3. All the test samples were as supplied by the Client.

Installation : All the test specimens were installed by the Client prior to the
Procedures test.
Testing :
1. An axial tensile force was applied to each specimen by
Procedures means of a servo-hydraulic jack through a bolt jig.
2. A transducer measured the relative displacement between
the anchor and concrete block with accuracy better than
0.001mm.
3. The load was applied at a rate of 0.03mm/sec until failure
occurred, and the test was terminated when the load
dropped to approximately 50% of its ultimate value.
4. All the test data were automatically captured electronically.

Test Results : 1. The summary of test results and load-displacement

relationships are as attached.

Centre of Building Research approves, recommends or endorses the
manufacturer, supplier or user of such product/equipment, or that HDB Centre of
Building Research in any way “guarantees” the later performance of the
product/equipment.

c) The sample/s mentioned in this report is/are submitted/supplied/manufactured

by the Client. HDB Centre of Building Research therefore assumes no
responsibility for the accuracy of information on the brand name, model number,
origin of manufacturer, consignment or any information supplied.

d) HDB Centre of Building Research may at its sole discretion add to or amend
the conditions of the report at the time of issue of the report and such report and
such additions or amendments shall be binding on the Client.

e) All copyright in the report shall remain with HDB Centre of Building Research
and the Client shall, upon payment of HDB Centre of Building Research Test
Lab’s fees for the carrying out of tests, be granted a license to use or publish the
report to the third parties subject to the terms and conditions herein, provided
always that HDB Centre of Building Research may at its own absolute discretion
be entitled to impose on the license as it sees fit.

f) Nothing in this report shall be interpreted to mean that HDB Centre of Building
Research has verified or ascertained any endorsement or marks from any other
testing authority or bodies that may be found on that sample.

g) This report shall not be reproduced wholly or in parts and no reference shall be
made by the Client to HDB Centre of Building Research or to the report or results
furnished by HDB Centre of Building Research in any advertisements or sales
promotion.

h) Unless otherwise stated, the tests are carried out in HDB Centre of Building
