Introduction
This coursework was written to compare Wholesale and Retail stores in Fresh Creek
Andros. To meet the objectives of my coursework I will gather information from online
researching and by gathering data from local stores in Central Andros. I will also carry out my
research by doing surveys, interviews , and reading newspaper articles.
According to Eurocommerce.com Retailing and Wholesaling has its origin in
pre-historic times approximately 150,000 years ago when people started exchanging goods with
each other. Wholesale according to investopedia.com refers to the selling of goods to
customers like retailers, industries, and others in bulk, at a low price. It is a type of business in
which goods are being purchased from the producers by the wholesaler in big lots, and then the
bulk is split into comparatively smaller lots. Retail means selling goods in small lots. When the
goods are sold to the final customer, for consumption and not for the purpose of resale, in
small quantities, then this business type is known as Retail. Retailers are the middleman between
wholesalers and customers. They purchase goods from wholesalers in bulk and sells it to the
ultimate consumer in small lots.
