What is scanning and its implementation?

Scanning is a technique in reading at a high speed, to find some important things or

a main idea from a reading. In very useful reading that is what skimming is useful for.
Which will involve the reader in passing and quickly, in obtaining an overall and general
impression.

The implementation of scanning techniques in learning to read practical

understanding in 3 stages, namely pre-reading, while-reading, and post-reading stages. At
the pre-reading stage, the activities are

1. determining the learning material to be delivered,

2. adjusting the student's scheme to the material displayed,
3. carrying out the steps for learning reading comprehension using skimming and
scanning techniques. , delivery of tasks or activities that must be done by students,
and
4. questions and answers about the material presented.
