LEARN TO CHANT BHAGAVAD-GITA

The goals of this course are:

1. Chapter 12th and Chapter 15th shlokas will be taught in the first phase, excluding their
meanings.
2. Memorisation of all shlokas, in the first phase, is compulsary.
3. After the completion of both the chapters, individual oral-recitation session shall be
arranged online. This is to ensure that the pronunciation picked by the participants is
appropriate.
4. After completion of this, two more chapters shall be taught in the second phase of the
course.
5. All the 18 chapters shall be taught, phase by phase.

What you can expect in the phase:

1. You will find the pace to be extremely slow at the beginning. Keeping the first time
learners in mind, there is an emphasis on encouraging all the participants to get
involved in chanting and to correct their pronunciation.
2. Since it is not possible to give everyone a chance during the live session, only a few
participants can chant in the class. If students maintain attendance regularly
everyone will definitely get their turn throughout the course.
3. Course material shall be provided by us. The shlokas may appear to be possessing a
“स-कार:”, a " : " (visarga), a “र-कार:” or few such letters at some places which is not
generally found in printed books. This is done keeping in mind the place of pausation
which helps in easy recitation, following the rules of the sanskrit grammar.
4. After every class, an audio shall be sent on the group for regular practice which
includes the latest shlokas taught in the class. After each chapter is completed, a
new audio will be sent which would contain all the shlokas of that chapter,
uninterrupted.
5. After every class, each participant is encouraged to video-record their chanting and
send it to us on or before the following Friday, before 7pm. A group of 8 to 10
children will be assigned a mentor who will review the videos. Separate WhatsApp
groups will be created where the participants can post the videos containing the
chanting learnt in that particular class.

Lastly,
1. Many enquired about the fee amount.
I wish to let you all know that its already been invested by you in terms of your
precious time and energy. Please continue your dedication, commitment and
patience throughout the course, till we will be able to successfully learn how to chant
all the 18 chapters.
2. Few showed concern that the 30-minute duration might be less.
It’s difficult to retain children’s attention beyond this period for online-recitation-
classes. At the beginning, every child might show enthusiasm because it would be
some change or a break, not knowing what is expected out of them. It becomes quite
challenging to retain their focus, commitment and attention once the shlokas start to
become cumulative. Let’s go slow and steady. We shall review based on the
progress made after each phase.
