Decision-Making Styles
A person’s thinking style reflects two things: the source of information you tend to use
(external or internal) and how you process that information (linear or nonlinear).

2. Overconfidence Bias
Choosing alternatives that offer immediate rewards and avoid immediate costs.
4. Anchoring Effect
Selecting, organizing and interpreting events based on the decision maker’s biased
perceptions.
6. Confirmation Bias
Seeking out information that reaffirms past choices while discounting contradictory
information.
7. Framing Bias
Selecting and highlighting certain aspects of a situation while ignoring other aspects.

9. Representation Bias
Forgetting that current actions cannot influence past events and relate only to future
consequences.
Taking quick credit for successes and blaming outside factors for failures.
Mistakenly believing that an event could have been predicted once the actual outcome is
known (after-the-fact).
