For Malacañang, there appears no other reason but politics on


Senator Manny Pacquiao’s critical remarks on the Duterte
administration.

2. Which of the stories do you think does not depict politics?

2. Focusing on one news story identified as depicting politics, what is the


issue or problem?

Paquio critics duterte administration because of corruption


3. Why is it an issue or problem?

It’s an issue/problem because pacquio wants to point out that


theres a corruption in recent administration but then duterte got
insulted of what he said.
4. Is it important to solve or address the problem? Why or Why not?

Yes, it’s important to solve that kind of problem so that we can


avoid some misunderstanding about the issue of pacquio and
duterte
5. Whose responsibility is it to solve the problem? Why?

In my own opinion I think pacquio would take an responsibility


to take an action to solve this problem the way that his
perception to run for a vip is very wrong, because he is
accusing duterte administration is full of corruption so that if he
run he will fight against corruption which is not good campaign
because he got insulted president duterte.
6. Who is likely to benefit once the problem is solved? Why?

President duterte and also the people who might be affected


because if pacquio runs for a vip the people will already know
what kind of being leadership on his own country.
8. Do these people deserve to benefit from the resolution of the problem? Why or
why not?

Yes, because it will be a good hint or judgement for all of the people
wants to vote for pacquio being vice president based on his
campaign about corruption during duterte administration which if
he won he will fight against corruption, I think we all have not same
perspective but for me pacquio needs more know about politics.

1. What is the ultimate and defining purpose of politics?

The purpose of politics is to enable the members of a society to


collectively achieve important human goals they cannot
otherwise achieve individually. Through negotiation, debate,
legislation and other political structures, politics procures safety,
order and general welfare within the state.

2.What is the difference between government and governance? How does this
difference relate to politics?

Government is a group of people who rule or run the administration


of a country. In other words, it may be said that a government is
the body of representatives that governs and controls the state
at a given time. Government is the medium through which the
power of the state is employed.

Governance is the act of governing or ruling. It is the set of rules and


laws framed by the government that are to be implemented
through the representatives of the state. Simply put, governance
is what governments do.

Furthermore Government denotes elected people whereas


governance denotes the framework or procedures followed by the
government.

3. Why is it important to study politics?

It is important to study the politics because it help us understand the


world and how we can make a difference. It also helps us to
understand the political system of our country, which are not so well
known in their own country.
