DEFINITION
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease and a chronic
inflammatory condition. It usually affects synovial joints. Cause for
RA is unknown, but because of environmental and lifestyle factors,
the gene for RA is triggered leading to the disease.
