REFLECTION

In the article I've read it focused about “Formative Assessment “ which is a

process used by teacher and students during instruction that provides feedback to
adjust on going teaching and learning to improve students’ achievement of intended
instructional outcomes . It says on article that almost any assessment instrument can be
used for summative or formative purposes, but some by design are better suited to
summative use and others to formative use.

I believe that formative assessments are essential for both students and
teachers to inform instruction within lessons and they confirm how much students know
about the lesson and how teacher can support to engage in their learning. For me as a
future educator, I approve that asking better questions affords students an opportunity
for deeper thinking and provides teachers to know the levels of students’ understanding.
Assessment is used as a research to find out as much as they can about what their
students know, and what confusions, and prejudgment, or gaps they might have.
Continuing assessment provides day-to-day feedback about the learning and teaching
process. Assessment can reinforce the efficacy of teaching and learning.

The author in the article I've read as what I understand it making clear with
assessments it is helping everyone because there is a major meaning to having them. It
shows the way teachers communicate planned learning experiences to prepare for test.
To represent how the teacher prepares the students to learn the components that are
going to be on the test.
