Wk 1 Wk 2 Wk 3 Wk 4 Wk 5 Wk 6 Wk 7 Wk 8 Wk 9 Wk 10

PROGRESS:
Progress consultation to be filled in by the students but approved by the Mentors.

OBJECTIVE:
Problems indicated by the Mentor during consultation.

- Story needs to be tighter; address plot holes or stray questions that make the player question the entirety of
the premise
- “Why didn’t Mjurk kidnap Chonky instead of Rune Knight?”
- However, keep in mind that narrative questions do not necessarily indicate that plot needs to be changed, just
to probe further on the original intent of having that plot point to begin with, and whether it was the best course
of action

OUTCOME:
Solutions advised by the Mentor during consultation.

- Keep in mind not to go overboard with “nice to have” features/assets during concepting stage, always have a
critical eye on what you need
- Bear Realm received positive feedback, was pleasantly compared to A:TLA’s Water Tribe for “nice vibes” and
“having a special feeling” and “being a solid concept”
- NPC clothing was “simple” yet “really said a lot about their culture”
- However, this may cause misplaced priority in development where the earlier Realms get ignored in favour of
the last Realm (Bear Realm is the last Realm where you fight the final boss), so take this into consideration
when crunching concepts for the later Realms

APPROVAL:
