The silence zine explores the emotional

impacts of the new anti protesting laws
introduced in Hong Kong. The interviewee
was significantly restricted to the information
they could reveal and their own personal
opinions. The zine presents bleak and desolate
emotions to highlight the harsh limitations the
new law has on Hong Kong citizens.

Taking inspiration provided by the content

from my previous projects I wanted to explore
a way in which I could reutilise the content yet
manipulate it for a new audience and purpose.

This series of illustrated film posters are

inspired from personal stories and experiences
shared through my previous project which
challenged women with writing a letter to their
thirteen year old self.

“Perform and film a new greeting

for earthly beings, all to be
filmed in a single shot.”

The new greeting is performed through an app.

The app is called SM.I.L.E which is an acrostic
standing for

SMart Interactive Live E-greeting.
This allows people whoare busy and on the
move to greet each other without actually
having to stop and say hello. However it’s also
symbolic of technology that is
rapidly evolving
