Olfactory Lobes and their

Functions

🧠 The olfactory bulb, also known as the olfactory lobe, is a component of the
forebrain, also known as the prosencephalon, and is involved in olfaction,
or the sense of smell. The amygdala, orbitofrontal cortex (OFC), and
hippocampus provide information to the olfactory bulb. Emotion, learning,
and memory are all influenced by them. The primary olfactory bulb and the
auxiliary olfactory bulb are the two structures that make up the olfactory
bulb. The piriform cortex connects the primary olfactory bulb to the
amygdala, which then connects to particular sections of the amygdala.
