VELOCITY AND ACCELERATION

Observation/s:
TEAM JUM (Serrano,Moll)
This group was demonstrated a game that is closely similar to basketball. They said
that there is always acceleration while dribbling. They used some monobloc chairs in
both sides and the two participants shall pass through those chairs in zigzag direction.
So velocity occurs when changing side by side directions to those chairs. Momentum
occurs too, from slower to faster acceleration. “The greater the accuracy, the greater
the chance of winning the game.”

MAKICHOY (Arceo,Mendez,Ralota)
This group was presented a game called achoy. They need 2 groups consists of 3
members. We are all familiar on playing an achoy. They said that the timing is the same
when the object is falling down because of the gravity. But the group of Tricia was
having a hard time on playing the game because their achoy is more heavy than the
other group because their achoy consists of 3 coins while the other group consist only
of 1 coin that’s why they can easily lift the achoy.

ARK ANGELS (Offemaria,Columna,Sangalang)

This group was demonstrated a game called fastbreak. They needed 2 pairs. So one of
the two pairs will be the base wherein they need to pass and throw the ball as far as
they can while the other one will move forward to get the ball and when he/she finally
get the ball they changed direction and shoot the ball. So the acceleration occurs when
the players started to throw the ball and when the other player started to run after the
ball. The velocity occurs when the other player for example finally get the ball and
changed direction before shooting the ball. Lastly, the time occurs if how fast the
players change direction from one place to another while looking after the ball.
STICKERS (Santiago,Mirasol,Fuenzalida)
This group presented a game called stick relay. They needed 2 groups consists of 5
members. Each members will have their own location/area. The first member will run to
the other member with the object that is needed to pass until to the last member and
he/she need to pass it to the leaders. So the velocity occurs when the first member
started to run and pass the object to the other member until it arrive to the last
member because it shows on how the members changed direction from this place to
another. The time occurs too, if how fast the members run to the other members until
the last member who’ll get the object reach the final destination.

AWIMBAWE (Lim,Rili,Abejero)
This group presented a game called number game. They needed 2 groups consists of 3
members and those 3 members have the same assigned numbers. The acceleration
occurs when someone shouted a number and to those players who have the same
assigned numbers will travel to the person who’s holding the object that they need to
get. The velocity occurs when the players changed direction from right to left side, as
you remember when Gervin moved the object from his left to right hand.

SLIP (Arroyo,Reondangga,Orcena)
This group presented a game called slippers game. So the velocity occurs when the
players jumped from this place to another. It composed of many levels wherein they
adjust the slippers. The acceleration occurs when the player gain some strength to run
and jump from this slipper up to the other slipper. As you can observe from what they
had presented, as you gain so much force you’ll get the chance to cross the slippers.

ARCHIEKINS (Dilanco,A.)
Archie presented a game called “luksong baka.” He needed one participant who will
serve as the “baka” and 5 or more persons to play the game. The force occurs when
the players started to jump over the person who serve as the “baka” and the velocity
occurs when the players started to jump over that person and changed direction from
one place to another.
WANDER GIRLS (Curioso,Pangan,Cuesta)
This group needed a two persons wherein the other one must carry a bag that is heavy
and the other must carry an object that is easy to bring. The two persons need to run
clockwise around the landscape gardening located on the ground. So the force is the
one factor that is consider in Jonas’ situation because you can never run easily or faster
when you’re carrying a heavy object that’s why Leo was the one who first reach the
base because he’s carrying a umbrella so it doesn’t affect him on running faster.
