Air Canada Booking Classes

Like all airlines, seats on Air Canada are booked into fare 'buckets'. These buckets correspond not only to a given class
of seat on the plane, but also a certain set of rules (refundable or not, change fees, minimum stay, etc...). For ease of
use, Air Canada groups bunches of buckets with similar rules together.

As of February 4, 2011, the fare buckets are as follows:

Original Member
For travel on flights within Canada and between Canada and the Continental U.S.A. (including Hawaii)
rehoult
Silver Member
Executive Flexible: J, C
- Executive class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 150% of miles flown (minimum 750) and count toward Top Tier Status
- Fully refundable

Executive Lowest: D, Z
- Executive class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 150% of miles flown (minimum 750) and count toward Top Tier Status
- Non-refundable

Upgrade Class: R
- Executive class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 100% of miles flown (minimum 500) and count toward Top Tier Status
- When an upgrade is processed, the ticket is re-booked into R from its original class
- All attributes (refundability, fees, etc...) of the original class still apply

Business Class Reward: I


- Executive class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 0% of miles flown
- Prior to the day of travel, all changes must be made through the rewards plan that issued the ticket

Latitude: Y, B
- Economy class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 100% of miles flown (minimum 500) and count toward Top Tier Status
- Fully refundable
- Upgradable under the Star Alliance Miles-for-Upgrade program and by Air Canada Top Tier members using e-
Certificates
- Upgrades are available at time of booking (space dependent)

Tango Plus: M, U, H, Q, V, W, S, L, K, T
- Economy class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 100% of miles flown (minimum 500) and count toward Top Tier Status
- Non-refundable
- Upgradable by Air Canada Top Tier members using e-Certificates (Note, M fares require less e-Certificates to upgrade
than the other fares)
- Upgrades are available either 7, 4 or 2 days prior to travel depending on the member's status (space dependent)

Tango: A, N, G, P, E
- Economy class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 25% of miles flown (minimum 125) and do NOT count toward Top Tier Status

Air Canada Vacations flights: O


- Economy class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 25% of miles flown (minimum 125) and do NOT count toward Top Tier Status
- Non-refundable
- Not upgradeable

Economy Class Reward: X

- Economy class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 0% of miles flown
- Prior to the day of travel, all changes must be made through the rewards plan that issued the ticket

Flights for all other destinations worldwide

Executive Flexible: J
- Executive First class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 150% of miles flown (minimum 750) and count toward Top Tier Status
- Fully refundable

Executive Lowest: C, D, Z
- Executive First class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 125% of miles flown (minimum 625) and count toward Top Tier Status
- Non-refundable, or high refund fee

Upgrade Class: R
- Executive First class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 100% of miles flown (minimum 500) and count toward Top Tier Status
- When an upgrade is processed, the ticket is re-booked into R from its original class
- All attributes (refundability, fees, etc...) of the original class still apply

- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 0% of miles flown

- Economy class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 100% of miles flown (minimum 500) and count toward Top Tier Status
- Y fares are fully refundable. B fares are generally refundable, however there are some routes on which a B fare carries
a $100 cancellation fee.
- Upgradable under the Star Alliance Miles-for-Upgrade program and by Air Canada Top Tier members using e-
Certificates.
- Upgrades are available at time of booking (space dependent)

Tango Plus: M, U, H, Q, V, W, S, L, K, T
- Economy class
- Miles are credited to Aeroplan at 100% of miles flown (minimum 500) and count toward Top Tier Status
- Non-refundable, or high refund fee
- Upgradable by Air Canada Top Tier members using e-Certificates (Note, M fares require less e-Certificates to upgrade
