 Listening Sections
 Consists of 50 questions (short dialogues, longer conversation, mini lectures)
 12 seconds to answer for each questions
 Recording only will be played once
Tips:
 Listen to main ideas and key details
 Don’t look at back previous qustions!
 Focus on the last line, the second speaker
 The answer keys might be in order for longer conv. and mini lectures.
 Structure (passives, negatives, conditions, wishes)
 Functional Expression (agreement, uncertainty, suggestion, surprise)
 Idiomatic Expression (two-part verbs, idiom)
 Structure and Written
Expression Sections
 Consists of 40 questions (15 structure, 25 written expression)
 25 minutes overall
Tips:
 Answer the easier questions at first
 Identify which Subject and Verb of the sentence
 Subject and Verb Agreement
 Part of speech (noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition,
interjection and conjunction)
 Parallel structure
 Guess the loss part of the sentence structure
 Reading Comprehension

 55 minutes overall

Tips:
 Familiarize with key academic vocabularies
 Do skimming and scanning the passage
 Try to guess the meaning of certain words from the context
 Find the main idea of the passage
 Read more English literature and draw a probable conclusion
