In Virginia Henderson Theory, health must be balance in all sphreres of human life.
Also, health requires independence and interpendence. She made a concept of 14 basic
needs that grouped into four (biological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual
components.) this concept require an individual to perform effectively.

NURSING

Virginia Henderson developed the nursing need theory, her goal is to define the unique
focus of nursing practice. Nurses must have knowledge to do practice individualized and
human care and must be a great problem solver. The nurse is a independent practitioner
who specializes in assisting the patient in becoming as self-sufficient as feasible in
daily activities. Appropriate medical intervention and quality basic nursing care are
used to help patients achieve independence.

The nurses role in caring for the sick is to assist the patient in managing his
environment in order to protect him from any harm, damage or injury. Also, nurses are
