 Mostly used in survey methods

 There are two type of survey questions

- Open-ended
- Closed-ended

Open-ended
 This type of question allows participants to respond in any way they like.
 Open ended question provides primarily qualitative data.
e.g.
o How do you train machine operators?
o How do you control absenteeism?

Closed-ended
 Closed – ended questions require participants to choose from a limited
number of responses predetermined by the researcher.

 Closed -ended questions provides primarily quantitative data
