• Cul De Sacs is addressed in LEED Homes and LEED ND


• LEED discourages Cul De Sacs as it reduces the street
networking and connectivity and increases the
vehicle miles traveled

Prius Effect

• Prius effect is derived from Toyota Prius hybrid


vehicle which displays the energy consumption detail
in dash board which resulted in cautious driving of
owners and reduction in energy consumption

• The fuel efficiency model of Toyota Prius can be


duplicated to a building with building energy dash
board which makes the occupants energy conscious

3 Years aged SRI

• SRI is the ability of the material to reject heat


• High SRI coatings generally perform well initially
but the reflectance of the surface reduces with
the age
• Hence LEED V4 requires compliance for both
initial SRI and 3 years aged SRI
