EXERCISE
Patient can ambulate only with assistance of
watcher. This is necessary since it was stated in the
case scenario that the patient is experiencing
weakness and fatigue.
Walking is the simplest way of exercise and is a
good choice. Canes, crutches, and any walking aids
can help.
If client still can’t walk, do range of motion
exercises such as rotation, abduction, adduction,
flexion and extension of shoulders, dorsiflexion,
and plantar flexion. Active range of motion exercises
help improve joint function. These exercises help you
move each joint through its full range of motion.
Movement can help keep your joints flexible, reduce
pain, and improve balance and strength.
If client has other exercises that she wants to try or
do, talk to the doctor before starting a new routine.
