Configuration
Multi Carrier ABC 2+0

Note:
1、 This file is suitable for Ceragon 2+0 configuration, and only use ETH RJ-45 as traffic transmission. When
using, please make corresponding changes according to the actual configuration.
2、 In order to prevent the device from being unable to connect, please set remote first.

1. Assigning IP Address

Before connection over the radio hop is established, it is of high importance to assign the IP-
20 unit a dedicated IP address, by default, a new IP-20 unit has the following IP settings:
 IP address: 192.168.1.1
 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

1.1 Laptop Setup


To obtain contact between the Laptop and the IP-20 unit, it is necessary to configure an IP
address on the Laptop within the same subnet as the IP-20 unit. The default IP-20 IP address is
192.168.1.1. Set the Laptop address to e.g.192.168.1.10 and subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.

1 Select Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Network and Sharing Center.
2 Click Change the adapter settings.
3 Select Local Area Connection > Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP), and set
the following parameters:
 IP address: 192.168.1.10
 Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
 No default gateway
4 Click OK to apply the settings.

2. Logging on
1 Open an Internet browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
2 Enter the default IP address “192.168.1.1” in the Address Bar. The
Login page opens.
3 In the Login window, enter the following:
User Name: admin
Password: admin
4 Click Apply

3. Configuring the Activation Key

To enter a new activation key:


1. Select Platform > Activation Key > Activation Key Configuration. The Activation Key
Configuration page opens
2. Demo Admin: Enable
3. Click Apply.

4. Configuring IP Address

1. Select Platform > Management > Networking > Local. The local Networking
Configuration page opens.
2. Set IPv4 Address: 10.80.1.67
3. IPv4 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.192
4. Ipv4 Default Gateway: 10.80.1.65
5. Click Apply

Repeat IP Configuring IP Address on the FE
1. Select Platform > Management > Networking > Local. The Local Networking
Configuration page opens.
2. Set IPv4 Address: 10.80.1.66
3. IPv4 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.192
4. Ipv4 Default Gateway: 10.80.1.65
5. Click Apply

5. Configuring Radio Parameters


To configure the radio parameters:
1. Select Radio > Radio Parameters. The Radio Parameters page opens

1. Select the carrier in the Radio table and click Edit. A separate Radio Parameters page
opens. (Please refer to the site specific frequency license)

2. Select Radio Slot 2, Port 1 and set below parameters:
 Radio Slot 2 Port 1: Set the Tx radio frequency: 22022
 Radio Slot 2 Port 1: Set the Rx radio frequency: 23030
 Set TX mute Status: Off
 Set TX Level (dBm) : 15
 Enter a unique link identifier from 1 to 65535. For example: 1212 (The link ID of the
NE must be the same as FE)
 Click Apply.

3. Select Radio Slot 2, Port 2 and set below parameters:


 Radio Slot 2 Port 2: Set the Tx radio frequency: 22050
 Radio Slot 2 Port 2: Set the Rx radio frequency: 23058
 Set TX mute Status: Off
 Set TX Level (dBm) : 15
 Enter a unique link identifier from 1 to 65535. For example: 1212 (The link ID of the
NE must be the same as FE)
 Click Apply.

To configure the radio parameters on the FE
1. Select Radio Parameters.
The Radio Parameters page initially displays a table as shown in figure below

4. Select the carrier in the Radio table and click Edit. A separate Radio Parameters page
opens. (Please refer to the site specific frequency license)

5. Select Radio Slot 2, Port 1 and set below parameters:


 Radio Slot 2 Port 1: Set the Tx radio frequency: 23030
 Radio Slot 2 Port 1: Set the Rx radio frequency: 22022
 Set TX mute Status: Off
 Set TX Level (dBm) : 15
 Enter a unique link identifier from 1 to 65535. For example: 1212 (The link ID of the

 Click Apply.

6. Configuring the Radio (MRMC) Script(s)


To display ETSI scripts, select Radio > MRMC > Symmetrical Scripts > ETSI.
1. Select Radio > MRMC > Symmetrical Scripts > ETSI.
The MRMC Symmetrical Scripts page opens.
2. Select Radio Interface: Radio Slot 2, Port 1 and select the slot to configure the script.
For Example: Select 1504.
3. Repeat for Radio interface: Radio Slot 2, Port 2. For Example: Select 1504 (The script
ID on the NE must be the same as FE)
4. Click Apply.

7. Configuring the Interfaces

To configure the interfaces :


1. Select Platform > Interfaces > Interfaces Manager
The Interfaces Manager Parameters page initially displays a table as shown in figure below

2. Select Ethernet: Slot 1, Port 1 and click Edit. Select Admin status: Up
3. Click Appy

8. Configuring Multi Carrier ABC
To configure a Multi-Carrier ABC group:
1. Select Radio > Groups > Multi Carrier ABC. The Multi Carrier ABC page opens.

2. Click Create Group. The first page of the Create ABC Group wizard opens.

3. In the Minimum bandwidth select: Enable


4. In the Minimum bandwidth threshold, enter the minimum bandwidth override threshold
(in Mbps), between 0 – 20000 Mbps, with a resolution of 1 Mbps
5. Click Next

6. In the Member #1, select: Radio: Slot 2, Port 1


7. Click Next
8. In the Member #2, select: Radio: Slot 2, Port 2
9. Click Next
10. Click Submit

Select Radio > Groups > Multi Carrier ABC. The Multi Carrier ABC page opens.

9. Configuring Ethernet Services


To open the Ethernet Services page:
1. Select Ethernet > Services. The Ethernet Services page opens.

2. In the Ethernet Services page, click Add. The Ethernet Services – Add page opens.
3. Service ID: 1
4. Service Type: MP
5. Admin: Operational
6. MAC table size: 131072
7. Default CoS: 0
8. CoS Mode: Preserve-SP-COS-Decision
9. Click Apply

Select Ethernet > Services. The Ethernet Services page opens.

1. Select Service ID 257 MNG and then click edit, the Ethernet Services page opens:
Check the setting below:
2. Select Interface location: Ethernet: Slot 1, Port 1
3. Attached interface type: dot1q
4. C-Vlan encapsulation: 800
5. C-Vlan CoS preservation: Enable
6. C-Vlan preservation: Disable
7. S-Vlan CoS preservation: Enable
8. Click Apply

1. Select Service ID 1 MP and then click edit, the Ethernet Services page opens:
Check the setting below:
2. Select Interface location: Ethernet Slot 1, Port 1
3. Attached interface type: Bundle-C

4. C-Vlan encapsulation: N.A

5. S-Vlan encapsulation: N.A
6. C-Vlan CoS preservation: Disable
7. C-Vlan preservation: Enable
8. S-Vlan CoS preservation: Enable
9. Click Apply

Select Ethernet > Services. The Ethernet Services page opens.

1. Select Ethernet Slot 1 Port 1 and then click Attached VLAN. The Ethernet Services
page opens.
2. Add C-Vlan Encapsulation: 100, 160, 220, 500, 600, 700

1. Select Service ID 2 Multi Carrier ABC and then click edit, the Ethernet Services page
opens:
Check the setting below:
2. Select Interface location: Multi Carrier ABC (Unit Group#1)
3. Attached interface type: Bundle-C
4. C-Vlan CoS preservation: Disable
5. C-Vlan preservation: Enable
6. Click Apply

1. Select Multi Carrier ABC (Unit Group#1) and then click Attached VLAN. The Ethernet
Services page opens
2. Add C-Vlan Encapsulation: 100, 160, 220, 500, 600, 700
