Mausoleum of Khai Dinh - A masterpiece of mosaic art from


Hue
Khai Dinh mausoleum, also known as Ung Lang, is the tomb of King Khai Dinh (1885-
1925), the 12th king of the Nguyen dynasty, located on Chau Chu mountain (also known
as Chau E) outside Hue city, now Thuy Bang commune, Huong Thuy town, Thua Thien
Hue province.

The mausoleum was started on September 4, 1920 and lasted for 11 years, after the
Nguyen dynasty Khai Dinh and the son Bao Dai was completed. Compared with the
mausoleum of the predecessor kings, the tomb of Khai Dinh has a more modest area:
117m x 48.5m, but it is a meticulously built work, consuming the most effort and money.

Unlike the mausoleums of the previous Nguyen Dynasty, which were often built
according to traditional styles and techniques, Khai Dinh mausoleums is built in a
modern way with materials of cement, iron, steel ... and many rare things are placed.

However, the special point that makes up the unique value of Khai Dinh tomb is in the
interior of the house, where the art of ceramic mosaic is displayed to reach the level of
unique skill and magnitude.

If the exterior has the shape of a massive building, the surface is made of cement, iron
and steel with a Western-style white theme, on the contrary, the interior of the viewer is
really overwhelmed with the look. Beautifully, splendidly colored by hundreds of
thousands of pictures, intricately decorated reliefs from thousands of thousands of
porcelain and stained-glass details.

Through talented hands of Hue artisans, pieces of crockery, colored glass taken from
cups, bowls, pots, bottles ... are carefully cut and meticulously assembled into paintings
and reliefs. , pictures of birds, flowers, animals ... are beautiful according to the
Confucian, Taoist, Buddhist, and folk motifs. Interestingly, although it is inlaid with hard
materials of porcelain and glass, thanks to the ingenious color scheme based on the main
tones including white, yellow, brown, blue, green, purple, the blocks of page Mind looks
very soft, vivid like colored paintings.

2. Golden Bridge
The Golden Bridge (Vietnam) is new architectural construction, which sets location
inside the Bana Hills entertainment – tourism complex. This bridge was built at the
height of 1.400m above sea level and stretches about 150m long. The root of the name
“Golden Bridge” comes from its gilded railing frame. More than being a pure architecture
piece, Golden Bridge has been asserting itself as a new symbol of Da Nang’s tourism
since the opening in June 2018.
Golden Bridge Danang has been designed by TA Landscape Architecture and is
completed within a year. Danang is no stranger to the world when it comes to unique
bridge designs such as the Han River bridge, which is Vietnam’s first swing bridge; the
Dragon Bridge that breathes water and fire on every Saturday and Sunday night or Thuan
Phuoc bridge which is the country’s longest suspension one. Therefore, it wouldprobably
be no surprise when Danang is gifted with a new bridge. However, with the combination
of unique design and poetic scenery around, two gigantic stone hands holding the Golden
Bridge actually wonderstruck the entire world at the first sight and you may not stop
uttering “ Wow, amazing!”.
The Golden Bridge Danang has been built at over 1400 meters above sea level, with a
total length of 148.6 meters, and was divided into eight spans, of which the longest span
was 21.2 meters. As a walking bridge, the Danang Golden Bridge possesses a 3-meter
spherical surface with a spherical timber material of 5 cm thick that allows you to play
and dance. The special name of the bridge has been derived from its guardrails painted in
shimmering gold.

Golden Bridge Danang is a footbridge that seems to be lifted by two huge hands of god.
It is firmly made from two giant mossy stones which have been shaped as hands. This
abstract design makes the bridge match the theme of the scenery around. Furthermore,
thanks to its great height, Danang Golden Bridge is like a silk crossing the sky to help to
touch the flying clouds. Located amid the picturesque backdrop of Sunworld Ba Na Hills
Danang, the Golden Hand Bridge Danang evokes a sense of walking down the
mesmerizing way of paradise. No matter how people imagine about this bridge, it is
undeniable that Golden Bridge is one of the most spectacula rand magnificent sites to
visit in Vietnam.
3. Ta Dung Nature Reserve
Ta Dung Nature Reserve covers an area of 21,307 ha, located between Dak Nong Plateau
and Di Linh Plateau in the South Central Region's biological geographic region, with the
highest peak of 1,982m. This area is the intersection point of geography and biology
between the South Central Highlands region and the Southeast region.
According to a survey by the Center for Biodiversity and Development, Vietnam
University of Forestry, there are 1,406 species of higher plants, belonging to 760 genera
and 192 families of 6 different plant branches; of which, 69 species are listed in the Red
Book of Vietnam (2007). In particular, there are 5 species classified at CR level in the
Vietnam Red Book such as: tiger, leopard, python, python, king cobra and some species
are highly prioritized for conservation. mind, such as Black-shanked Douc Langur, Red-
cheeked Crested Gibbon, Little Cu ...
Considered as miniature Ha Long Bay in the Central Highlands, Ta Dung Nature Reserve
has a vast green forest area with a diverse fauna and flora ecosystem, many species listed
in the Red Book. Ta Dung is the highest mountain range in Dak Nong province and is a
watershed protection forest for two big rivers: Dong Nai river and Serepok river. In the
reserve there are many waterfalls: Dak Plao waterfall, 7-storey waterfall, sun waterfall ...
