There is no doubt that wildlife habitats are being destroyed and whole species of plants and animals are

disappearing. This essay will shed some light on the reasons of this and propose solutions to mitigate
this problem.

One of the major causes of this phenomenon is deforestation. In many parts of the world, trees are
being cut down to make way for farmland on which to grow crops and keep animals. As a consequence,
natural habitats are being destroyed, and in some cases whole species of animals are becoming extinct.
Another major contributing factor is human activities which are also responsible for the destruction of
aquatic life as domestic and industrial waste that is pumped into rivers and seas every day. This chemical
waste kills plants and fish, interrupting natural cycles and having a devastating effect on food chains.

To tackle with this alarming trend, some polluting prevention should be done by changing the
technology that is used. For instance, factories should use proper air filters, water filters when exporting
waste products into rivers and seas. The second solution is that people should stop turning forests and
rivers into rubbish dumps There should be laws that ban citizens from littering and tough punishments
for violating the rules. Government should also be concerned with creating more national parks and
extending the existing ones, where wild animals and plants can be preserved.

In conclusion, if animal and plant species are not preserved, it will lead to ecological imbalance and
make earth unsustainable. Acting responsibly, we all need to unite and protect animals and plant
species for our future generation.
