JODOROWSKY?
A LEJANDRO JODOROWSKY, A CHILEAN AUTHOR, AND FILMMAKER WAS BORN
IN TOCOPILLA IN 1929. MOST OF US WHO LOVE WATCHING FILMS REMEMBER
HIM FOR HIS CARTOONISH FILMS, SUCH AS EL TOPO, WHICH HE RELEASED
IN 1970, AND THE HOLY MOUNTAIN, A FILM MADE IN 1973. WHEN HE WAS EIGHT
YEARS OLD, HIS IMMIGRANT PARENTS, UKRAINIAN JEWISH, MOVED TO SANTIAGO.

JOINED THE UNIVERSITY OF CHILE, WHERE HE STUDIED FOR TWO YEARS BEFORE
