DOMESTIC SITUATION
INFORMATION:
Trooper's were dispatched to the below listed venue for a possible suicidal subject that quickly turned into a
domestic situation. Upon arrival, we contacted both parties, , the complainant,
and Both parties had minor injuries but neither wanted to cooperate. Parties
were separated and charges were sent on both to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office for review.

INTERVIEW
I made contact with at the listed venue. I asked to explain what occurred prior to our
arrival. explained he and were at the Faster Horses Festival today and he decided he
wanted to leave the concert and lay down. advised was irritated with the fact that he did not
want stay at the concert and started yelling at him while he was lying down in their tent. informed
me that he requested to leave him alone, but at this time struck him in the face causing his
nose to bleed. advised at this time he got in his truck and tried to leave at the campground,
but she climbed into the truck. explained he continued to leave the Faster Horses Festival and
remained in the vehicle. advised they continued to argue, but pulled a prescription
pill bottle from her purse threatening to ingest the pills. informed me advised she was
going to contact her mother for her final goodbye, and then tipped the pill bottle like she was pouring the pills
into her mouth. explained at this time he pulled into the listed venue and contacted 911 because he
was worried for health.

informed me he did not want to pursue charges for the assault, he just wanted to get the
help she needed.

INJURIES:
had dry blood surrounding his nostrils and on the left side of his face. informed me the
blood was from when struck him in the face.

INTERVIEW
Tpr. Phillips made contact with Tpr. Phillips requested to explain what occurred prior to
our arrival.

advised she and were at the Faster Horse Festival and decided he wanted to
leave. explained she followed back to the campsite and confronted him asking him to stay
at the festival, but would not listen. informed Tpr. Phillips that forcefully took
the keys from her after she attempted to keep them from him. explained to Tpr. Phillips that she got
into the truck with as he was leaving. advised Tpr. Phillips as they were traveling down
I-94 that thought she attempted to ingest some anxiety medication. informed Tpr. Phillips
that she did not ingest any pills.

I informed Tpr. Phillips about striking Tpr. Phillips then asked when she struck
informed Tpr. Phillips she struck when he was choking her, but would not
indicate a reason for to choke her.

INTERVIEW CONT:
Tpr. Phillips and I were shown multiple bruises by that were all over her body. would
indicate that has been assaulting her throughout their relationship. Tpr. Phillips and I would attempt
to gain more information about the assaults, but would then recant any information about the assaults
and advised that this entire incident was her fault.

continued to explain she was not the person that needed help. advised that
suffers from PTSD, and is the one that needs help.

INJURIES:
Bruises was noted below right eye, on her legs, and her arms. would not give statements
describing how she obtained the injuries or when they occurred.

INTOXICANTS:
Both parties indicated they had been consuming intoxicants throughout the day. Both subjects supplied a
P.B.T. on scene.

IMAGES:
Tpr. Phillips and I used a department issued digital camera to take photos of the injuries to both subjects. The
photos will be stored on the MSP Jackson Post hard drive.

DISPOSITION:
Due to the fact that Trooper's were unable to identify the primary aggressor and that neither party wanted
pursue charges and/or cooperate, we decided to separate both parties. advised she had family on the
way to pick her up, but that it would be an hour drive for them to arrive in Jackson. had family
coming from Lake City which would be an hour drive as well. was driven to Denny's Restaurant in
Jackson at her request and was left at the scene.

WEAPON:
All injuries were inflicted using personal (i.e. hands, fists, arms), no marks were apparent that would dictate
otherwise and neither party suggested any weapons were used.

DV-001:
A DV-001 was completed and submitted to the master file at the Jackson Post.

CRIME VICTIM'S RIGHTS:


A copy of Crime Victim's Rights were given to at the time the report was taken.
