    COMPLICATIONS

    SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:

    Fever, chills and sweats, redness,


    INFECTION
    soreness or swelling in any area
    including surgical wounds and
    ports.

    DIAGNOSTICS:

    SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:  Infection -


    POSTPARTUM Immunologic test
    Heavy bleeding, hypotension,
    HEMORRHAG nausea, pale skin, swelling and
    E pain around the vagina or
    perineum.
     PPH - blood tests,
    pelvic exam, physical
    exam, ultrasound

     DVT - Duplex
    ultrasonography
    SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:

    Throbbing or cramping pain in


    DEEP VEIN 1 leg, swelling in 1 leg, warm
    THROMBOSI skin around the painful area,
    S red or darkened skin around the
    painful area, swollen veins that
    are hard or sore when you
    touch them.
