- Fallopian Tube
It is a tough but elastic semicircle of tissue that covers the opening of the vagina in childhood.
- Hymen
An organ of intercourse that extends from the cervix of the uterus to the external vulva.
- Vagina
- Penis
It functions to nourish and house the fertilized egg until the unborn child is ready to be delivered.
- Uterus
A male reproductive gland that is homologous to the female ovary. Its function are to produce both
sperm and androgens, primary testosterone. Another name is gonads.
- Testes
The muscle layer of the uterus that holds the internal cervix os closed during pregnancy to prevent
preterm birth.
- Myometrium
- Epididymis
The roof of the uterine cavity where fertilized egg implants. This grows to make room for the growing
fetus
- Fundus
The innermost lining layer of the uterus, and functions to maintain the patency of the uterine cavity.
During the menstrual cycle or estrous cycle, this grows to a thick, blood vessel-rich, glandular tissue
layer.
- Endometrium
Part of the male reproductive system that contains the external spermatic fascia, testes, epididymis, and
ductus deferens. This is used to regulate the temperature of the testes.
- Scrotum
The phase in which the endometrium becomes pale and arteries constrict due to lower hormone release
by the disintegrating corpus luteum. It is when menstruation begins.
- Ischemic Phase
The portion that can be palpated abdominally to determine the amount of uterine growth occurring
during pregnancy
- Fundus
- Oligomenorrhea
During this phase the endometrial lining is shed, estrogen levels are low, and cervical mucus is scanty,
thick, and opaque
- Menstrual Phase
It carries sperm from the epididymis through the inguinal canal into the abdominal cavity.
- Vas Deferens
- Amenorrhea
Part of the brain which secretes gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), Especially when estrogen
levels are low.
- Hypothalamus
This happens when a single sperm penetrates the egg and fuses together. This is so-called the
fertilization stage.
- Sperm Penetration
It is the final stage and natural objective of male sexual stimulation, wherein the discharge of semen
happens.
- Ejaculation
It produces, mature, and discharge ova or egg cells. Responsible to produce hormones estrogen and
progesterone.
- Ovaries
- Menorrhagia
This widens during childbirth to allow for the passage of the baby. It also allows for the passage of
menstrual fluid from the uterus, and sperm needs to travel through the cervix in order to reach the
uterus.
- Cervix
- Ampulla
It occurs after the menstrual phase during a period of tissue regeneration, in which the endometrium
must repair itself and thicken.
- Proliferative Phase
- Follicular Phase
The first mitotic division when fertilization of human oocyt or egg by a human sperm is complete.
- Zygote
The second half of the menstrual cycle after ovulation in which the corpus luteum secretes progesterone
which prepares the endometrium for the implantation of embryo. If fertilization does not occur then
menstrual flow.
- Luteal Phase
They secrete mucus to lubricate the vagina and are homologous to bulbourethral glands in males. It is
also called vulvovaginal Glands.
- Bartholin`s Glands
