project management and scheduling domains.
Some of his past experiences/achievements include:
A. Delivery of 2 green-field school building projects including development of ancillary areas ahead of planned schedule
• Set-up Management processes to ensure greater visibility into planning, procurement, contracts, execution and manning
schedules.
• Minimized the turn-around-time of procurement processes from an average of 35 days to a new average of 20 days
• Set-up automated MIS dashboard for tracking & allotting procurement items enabling prioritization of critical and delayed
actions on the basis of priority in the portfolio
B. Conducted feasibility analysis of scheduled activities including ideation for performance improvement in a railways project
• Planned savings of approx. Rs 9 Crs. by developing new vendor base for supply and construction works thereby de-risking the
project
• Achieved savings of approx. Rs 3 Crs. in the procurement and installation of Rail-lifting Gantries by restructuring original
planning
• Constructed the PSC Sleeper plant in 4 months reducing execution time by close to 33% and planned the production of approx.
4 lac sleepers
• Planned, oversaw and reconciled the construction of the Railway Depot with 3250 cum of concrete, 200 MT of Steel and 800
MT of rails
• Redesigned and executed construction of stacking beds in Railway Depot to reduce consumption of reinforcement steel by 47%
• Reduced unloading time of 2500 MT of rails by 65% from 40 hrs. to 14 hrs. by streamlining execution strategy, contractor
engagement and resource deployment
Arnab is currently pursuing an MBA from the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi in Operations and Finance and holds a B.
Tech Degree in Civil Engineering from NIT, Durgapur.
