CONFI-GEL XHT is an organophilic clay used as viscosifier in invert oil

Product base or synthetic base mud for extreme temperature applications. It is a
Description specially designed organoclay which was chemically engineered to
maintain product performance when subjected to temperatures as high as
450 0F (232 0C). As the temperature increases the viscosity from CONFI-
GEL XHT stays flat. This flat rheology over temperature minimizes the
tendency for barite sag while improving cuttings transport and hole
cleaning.

CONFI-GEL XHT is used to increase viscosity when high temperatures

Applications/ are experienced CONFI-GEL XHT exhibits optimum performance when

Recommended ¾ The concentration used is in the range 2 - 20 lbs/bbl (5.7 – 57

the range of 10 - 15 lb/bbl (28.5 – 42.75 kg/m3).
¾ The effectiveness of CONFI-GEL XHT is reduced when added to
a mud system, which is severely water wet.
¾ Over treatment may lead to rheological problems
¾ Requires shear and temperature to yield to its optimum level
Limitations ¾ Higher concentrations required in high oil water ratio systems
¾ Allow newly formulated fluids two full circulations before
attempting to remediate low rheology

Packaging CONFI-GEL XHT is packaged in 50 lb (22.7 kg) or 25 kg (55 lb) sacks.

Store in a dry location away from sources of heat or ignition.
