Mitigation
 Inspect insulation, cables, connectors, , and PPE
 A certified PTW applicant shall obtain PTW
from the concerned authorities
 Make sure that there are no conflicting
activities near the worksite before starting
the job
 Use regulator to control supply.
 Change filter at the advised frequency.
 Monitoring the air and ensure good quality of
air.
 Ensure dead man’s device is always in good
operating condition.
 Do not allow workers to play with the sand
blasting machine
 Make sure sand blasting is done only by trained
personnel
 Barricade the area to prevent unauthorized entry
 Put ‘OFF’ machine first.
 Always keep the dead man’s device in
good operating condition.
 After work completion of work make sure
all the equipment & tool are properly taken
back to their storage are
 Maintain good housekeeping
 
