 Associated Press Of pakistan (App)


Associated Press of Pakistan is a government-operated
national news agency of Pakistan. APP has News
Exchange Agreements with 37 Foreign News Agencies
and has more than 500 correspondents.
The APP Digital News strives to serve as a rich online
source of information for latest news, reports, analytic
write-ups on Pakistan, and events and issues of regional
and international importance. All APP services are being
made available on a range of digital platforms.
 Pakistan Press International (PPI)
Pakistan Press International (PPI) is a Pakistani news
agency first founded in June 1956 as Pakistan Press
Association (PPA).The name Pakistan Press Association
(PPA) was changed in 1968. It was first started by
Muazzam Ali, the Chief Editor of Associated Press of
Pakistan (APP).
It was launched in 1956 and since then it has been the
prominent name of Pakistan news industry. Since the
beginning of its career, the “PPI” has been the reliable
source of publishing news of all kinds to its readers of
different kinds. The “PPI” is also recognized
internationally and that is because the news on the
website is free from being prejudiced against or for any
particular group or community and that helps us to
maintain international standards of journalism.
 Independent News Pakistan (INP)
Independent News Pakistan is a registered News Agency
in Pakistan, This wire service has correspondents all
across Pakistan, who provide fresh and latest news to all
major news channels, radio stations, magazines, websites
and newspapers.
Independent News Pakistan (INP) is a major news agency
in private sector working since June 2003. It was trend-
setting news producing organization. It is a multi-
dimensional establishment which provides news service
in English and Urdu languages along with quality news
pictures to around two hundreds of subscribers in
Pakistan and abroad through its bureaus in all the
provincial capitals, Muzaffarabad Gilgit Baltistan and
hundreds of correspondents spread over across the
country.
 Sabah
Sabah stands for south Asian Broadcasting Agency. The
Slogan is Acurate & reliable. The chief Editor of Sabah is
Shakeel Ahmed Turabi. The head quarter of Sabah is in
Islamabad-Pkaistan.
South Asian Broadcasting Agency (SABAH) has been
playing a pivotal role through independent, impartial and
unbiased coverage of events unfolding in the most volatile
region of the world. Run by a team of professional and
seasoned journalists with experience of up to three
decades, the news agency and its staff work hard 24/7 to
keep the world at large and especially its consumers
updated with the important events taking place in this
part of the globe.
 News Network International (NNI)
NNI News or News Network International is a private-
operated national news agency of Pakistan. It is a
Pakistan’s most prominent news agency after Associated
Press of Pakistan and competitor of INP, ANN, Online,
INN, PPA and SABAH. It was established in 1992 and
headquartered in G-7 zero point, Islamabad.
 Asia News Network (ANN)
The Asia News Network is one of the biggest News
Alliance in the world founded in 1999 with seven
members. Mister Zaffar Abbas is the Chairperson of ANN
along with the Editor of Dawn ( Pakistan ).
Born as a grouping of nine media titles in March 1999,
ANN now includes 23 leading titles, based in major
capitals of the region. The network’s members hail from
the 10 Southeast Asian economies as well as several other
locations in East and South Asia. Twenty one years after
the existence of the voluntary alliance, members of the
grouping agreed to formally register it as a company
limited by guarantee in Singapore, in February 2020.
 Pakistan International Press Agency (PPA)
Ppa is the News Agency of Pakistan, Mr khalid Athar is
Chief Editor and Editor is Mr Zameer Qadri. The head
Office of this News Agency is Located in Islamabad. PPI is
considered as the active member of the Council of
Pakistan Newspaper Editors, the organization of Asia-
Pacific News Agencies and the Asia Net Consortium. The
PPI also has its renowned track record of keep supporting
the independent radio journalism in the Pakistan and
actively come up with ten news bulletins on a daily basis,
which are broadcasted by 25 radio stations from all across
the country.
 United Press Of Pakistan (UPP)
It was established in November 1948, the Name of Chief
Executive Officer of this is Mr Mahmudul Aziz. Begum
Khurshid Abdul Hafiz is the Chairman of this News
Agency.First private sector news agency established in
1948 and “Pictorial News Review”,
Famous among diplomats of Pakistan since 1970.

 Sharp Eye
Sharp Eye is Pakistan’s independent International News
Agency established in January 2000. With the aim to
provide true News to T.V channels, national aswell as
International Newspapers on modern lines following the
modern and latest standards. Sharp Eye is working under
the supervision of its founder Mian Muhammad Azhar
Amin. He is renowned Journalist of Pakistan and has the
experience of working for Pakistani as well as foreign
Newspapers, News Agencies and a TV Channel as
reporter, anchor, editor and Chief Editor. In the light of
his experiences he felt the need for the establishment of an
independent news agency that could be a source for
presenting true news in different languages including
Arabic, Urdu and English to media all over the world. He
also started two newspapers from USA in 2003.
