Week 1 Group Forum Discussion – Due on

Hi everybody,
We begin the Forum this week for discussions on Chapters 1-3. The syllabus outlines
the general questions for forum discussions. In addition to those questions, please
address the following question this week:
Chapter 2 describes alternative corporate growth strategies (see Exhibit 2.5). For each
growth strategy, marked by a bullet point in Exhibit 2.5, give an example of a company
successfully implementing it. Do not use an example from the text book. Review the
literature on corporate strategy to find suitable examples.
Also, your posts should also address general questions such as:

  What do you like most about the chapter(s)?

 What do you not understand in the chapter(s)?
 Can you relate any topic discussed in the chapter(s) with personal experience
as a consumer?
 Can you relate any topic discussed in the chapter(s) with a current local,
national or international event?
